Lepcha

The Lepcha men wear a colorful sheet called Thakro, a shirt called yenthatse, and a cap called shambo. The Lepcha women wear a kind of sheet worn in sari style called Dumbun, a loose blouse called Tago, a belt called Nyumrek, and a cap called Taro. The Lepcha women also wear beautiful ornaments, such as Namchok (ear ring), Lyak (necklace), Gyar (bracelet), etc.

Bhutia

The Bhutia men wear a traditional robe called Kho, a waist coat called Jya, a shirt called Yenthatse, a cloth belt called Kera, and a cap called Shambo. The Bhutia women wear a traditional robe called Kho, a loose blouse called Hanju, a jacket called Kushen, a cap called Shambo, shoes called Shabcha, and a striped apron called Pangden. The Bhutia women also wear beautiful jewelry, such as Yencho (ear ring), Khao (necklace), Phiru (pearl ornament), Diu (gold bangle), and Joko (ring).

Nepali

The Nepali men wear a shirt called Daura, churidar pajama called Shurval, a waist coat called Aaskot, and a belt called Patuki. The Nepali women wear a colorful sari called Pharia, a long loose blouse tied from four side called Chaubandi Cholo, another type of popular blouse called Jharo Cholo, a piece of printed cloth covering the upper portion of the body called Hembri, and a colorful piece hanging from the head to waist during a dance performance called “Pachauri”. The Nepali women also wear beautiful jewelry, such as Shirbandi (Tiara), Kantha (Necklace), Nau-geri (Necklace of pearl), Charani hari (Another type of Necklace), Tilhari
