Nathu la pass at 4300m. is one of the highest places normal people can easily access. Located around 56 kms from Gangtok is one of the highest motorable roads in the world and passes through Tsomgo lake. It is 58 km from Gangtok SNT Bus Station. |

It is important to note that Tsomgo Lake is in a restricted area, so visitors must obtain a permit before visiting. Once visitors have obtained a permit, they can travel to Tsomgo Lake by taxi, jeep, or shared taxi. The journey from Gangtok to Tsomgo Lake takes about 2 hours. Circulation around Tsomgo Lake is limited. There is a road that runs around the lake, but it is only accessible to vehicles with a permit. Visitors can also walk or cycle around the lake, but they must be aware of the altitude and the possibility of altitude sickness. |

The access to the monastery is easy as a well laid road takes you to its entrance from Chand Mari as well as Ridge side. There is also a foot step-way from the JLN Marg near Chandmari. The path way has a string of prayer wheels which enrich walk to the main Gompa. SNT Bus Station is 3 km away. |
